The exhibition 6+1 Summer Above Standard is a showcase of the youngest generation of visual artists. Six painters will be joined by one sculptor. Students from AVU (Academy of Fine Arts), the Faculty of Fine Arts in Ostrava, and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art will present their authentic perspectives on the world around them. The essence of their meeting — or more precisely, their selection — is not a unifying idea, a predetermined theme, or any stylistic or technological affiliation. The goal is to present above-standard young art in spaces and contexts that have, until now, largely bypassed most of these artists and their work. The aim is not experiment, but attention.
